The Big Dig

Image

Caitlyn and Andi from Little City Gardens flexed muscles and dug spades into the earth here this week as we made a concerted effort to separate the culinary from the medicinal.  The former filled the back of Caitlyn’s truck and made a new home at the Mission Terrace farm.  Also Stephanie and Sophia from Bloom Justice, a flower farm in the Western Addition paid us a visit to remove some of the flowering perennials.  Read Sophia’s account of the Guerrero St. Garden here!

Now we have space to expand our local living apothecary.  Coming soon: bee balm, boneset, hawthorn, meadowsweet, pulsatilla, and true soloman’s seal!
